Class 1

Welcome to Class 1

Class 1 is a mixed Year 1 / Year 2 class with Reception joining us in the afternoons. Miss French teaches us most of the time with Mrs Spendlow teaching on a Thursday afternoon and Mrs Lewis on a Friday afternoon. Mrs Spendlow teaches the reception children in the conservatory in a morning. Miss Smith helps in our classes too. We are a creative group in Class 1 and really enjoy sharing our learning with one another. We have recently been learning all about nature and living things and have enjoyed exploring food chains, how animals move, different habitats and the 7 signs of life. In the forthcoming Autumn term 2, we are becoming time detectives! We are going to search for clues to help us decide how old things are and we will be exploring the stories behind them. We have lots of exciting visits planned for this term, including a visit to Skegness Aquarium, Louth Museum, St James’s Church (Louth) and to Donna Nook to see the new born seal pups. With Christmas also approaching, Class 1 is going to be a very busy and exciting place to be.
